Particularly for students with dyscalculia, maths anxiety and learning differences, maths must be taught using hands-on materials and a sequential framework.
Using specialised Integer Block Kits, in this training you will master how to teach so that any student can understand the foundational concepts of counting, place value, addition, subtraction, and time.
Here's what's inside the Multi-sensory Maths - Multiplication & Division Section
As a natural progression from our 'Foundations Of Maths' Training, we continue sequentially to mastery of multiplication and division of whole numbers. Using the same hands-on, multi-sensory tools, you will understand how to teach your students these more complex maths equations using simple and effective strategies. Multiplication is simply "fast adding" and division of whole numbers can be taught easily when you lay firm foundations.

As a natural progression from our Foundations of Maths and Multiplication & Division trainings, we continue sequentially to mastery of fractions, decimals and percents.

Integer Block Kit
This is our main tool for teaching whole numbers - counting, place value, addition, subtraction, telling time, multiplication, division and introducing fractions . By using these hands-on manipulatives, youbridge the gap from concrete understanding > to graphic representation > to abstract application and mastery of each concept.
Advanced Kit
Used for teaching fractions, decimals, percents and algebra, the Advanced Kit is the only kit you'll need for extending a student's understanding beyond whole numbers.
Made of high quality, uniquely colored cards, clear plastic overlays and a full set of math symbols they build on the rectangular model of teaching understanding.
Teacher Magnetic Block Kit
These teacher magnetic blocks are made of a light-weight foam and are fully magnetic backed to stay securely on a whiteboard, fridge or any magnetic surface. They are perfect for classroomsmall group or 1:1 instruction as they enable the student to learn kinaesthetically. They follow the same color system as the Integer Block Kits for teaching an understanding of whole numbers.

Quarterly focused meetings for Numeracy Specialists
Prerequisites
This training is open to any and all dedicated educators. There are no pre-requisite professional requirements: just a vision to see your students excel in maths; to teach them the way they learn; and to transform their lives through research and evidence-based numeracy instruction. On completion of each module, you will have the confidence, competence, skills and tools to be able to teach maths effectively to any student requiring intervention - whether with dyscalculia, maths anxiety, learning differences requiring Tier 2 or Tier 3 Intervention, or those in Tier 1 general classrooms.
Professional Development
This course will contribute to your Elective PD. You will receive a certificate upon completion of course material. Accreditation stream is available in 2025 and requires attendance at monthly implementation sessions, completion of necessary study, and demonstration of an in-depth understanding of pedagogy that you can confidently implement in practice with various students.
PD Hours (approx. 100hours)
- 35 hours approx. of video course content
- 65 hours approx. of practical implementation and training requirements (weekly implementation sessions, resource tasks, etc)
- Live in person as available
- Total: approx. 100 hours of Training PD if attend monthly implementation sessions and commit to 1.5 - 2 hours per week for 40 weeks.
Multi-sensory Maths Specialist Accreditation Program
The Maths Australia Accreditation Program will require additional study as well as written and videoed assessments. The intent of the accreditation program will be to set the highest standard in numeracy intervention, teaching maths explicitly, and equipping teachers to become specialists in numeracy instruction for both neurotypical and neurodiverse students.
