Here's what's inside the Multisensory Maths - Focus On Fractions Training
So many of our students struggle when it comes to understanding fractions, decimals and percents. We tend to focus on teaching procedures to calculate answers, only to find that mastery of these concepts continue to evade a student. This shortcoming affects their confidence not only for assessments and exams, but for everyday life applications, as well as future study options and life career choices.
You've likely tried teaching fractions with pie graphs and slices of pizza, only to find it ineffective. The student doesn't understand the concept because they have no tactile understanding of how to divide and decimalise a number.
Using our specific multisensory approach, hands-on Advanced Kit and ICRAVE* methodology, students can confidently and easily learn fractions and beyond!

Used for teaching fractions, decimals, percents and algebra, this CRA Maths Multi-sensory Advanced Kit is the only kit you'll need for extending a student's understanding beyond whole numbers.
Based on a rectangle model, this continues to enable you to teach maths using our ICRAVE* Methodology and a hands-on multi-sensory approach.
Made of high quality, uniquely colored cards, clear plastic overlays and a full set of math symbols.
* Note: 'Math U See' or 'Mortenson Maths' Fractions Kits may also be used, however they have minimal pieces and do not include manipulatives for teaching decimals, percents and algebra as found in the CRA Advanced Kit.

Prerequisites
There are no pre-requisite requirements for this training, however we recommend our "Foundations Of Maths" and "Multiplication & Division" MSM Trainings to give you a strong understanding of how to teach all four operations of whole numbers using multi-sensory tools and an area model. All educators are welcome.

When the Event begins
Online Training Events
Prior to to your training, you'll be emailed a link to join your session. It is best to arrive 10-15 mins early to make sure everything is set up before we start the training. We'll set you up with an online account and dashboard so you can access all of your session details and resources.
In Person Training Events
If your training is in person, please bring your ticket to confirm your attendance. Remember your Advanced Kit and any stationery you may require. Any materials you have ordered will be sent out to you prior to the training (you can also organise to have them collectable on the day).
