Maths Australia provides educators with an effective framework, a proven system, and a simple methodology for teaching educators how to teach maths with simplicity, ease and clarity.

As the National Program Co-ordinator, my passion is for every Australian child to be empowered in life through a strong foundation in maths, surpassing the limited understanding of mathematics taught by conventional schools systems that teach multiple formulas and diagrams without engaging the student’s comprehension abilities.

With just 2 x hands-on learning tools, we train teachers in the HOW of using manipulatives to teach numeracy as a language. Utilising the CRA Methodology, and progressing in every concept from Concrete, to graphic Representation, then Abstract the big ideas of maths are shared with ease and understanding.

Utilising a multi-sensory framework teachers, tutors, parents and home educators are provided with the tools necessary to teach the way children learn best: through seeing, hearing and touching — engaging visual, auditory and kinaesthetic learners — and using a sequential, foundational approach.

We teach you to work with each student at their own pace, making sure they fully understand addition before moving on to subtraction, multiplication before division, division before fractions and so forth.
Teaching this way is backed by research. It makes sense! It's fun - and possibly most importantly, the teacher does not have to be a maths master themselves to be able to learn how to effectively teach this understanding.
