Join Shirley Houston and Critical Agendas in this practical seminar that will give teachers the skills and access to resources they need to put in place effective multisensory, mastery-based intervention that can enhance the understanding, fluency, problem-solving and reasoning of dyslexic students (and peers).
Math-U-See is a very effective tool in boosting the Maths performance of students who struggle with Maths due to dyslexia. Dyslexic students need a highly structured multi sensory approach to learning that makes use of their strengths (often in the visual-spatial area).
The focus of activities will be the Number and Algebra strand of Mathematics and use of typical dyslexic strengths in learning.
